I hope everyone had a great holiday! Jason, Madelyn and I began our trip to Kansas City Saturday December 20th around 12:30 pm. Within the frist 2 hours of the trip Maddy threw up but the rest of the ride was successful - we arrived at my Dad's aroung 9pm. I got one spa day in while I was there and the rest of the time was spent hanging out with the fam, parties, playing rock band and taking care of sick people. Unfortunately Jason got sick Christmas Eve and missed Christmas Day :( he recovered quickly though and got to feeling better fast. We were supposed to leave Saturday the 27th but in the early hours of Saturday morning we got a huge storm, possibly a tornado and had to push back our departure to Sunday which ended up being fine. Neither Jason nor I wanted to leave. Overall we had a great holiday and I am sad it is over. Madelyn got a lot of great gifts and is getting bigger and bigger every day.
Speaking of bigger - i am into my second trimester and 15 weeks along now, not far from halfway. I am finally feeling better and am looking more pregnant instead of just fat! I will post some new pictures up soon. Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! What started out as great quickly went sour for us. It was our first year hosting the holiday in our new house and with 17 people total, we were looking forward to the challenge. Mom came in on Tuesday night and took care of Madelyn Wednesday while Jaosn and I went to work for a few hours and got some last minute errands done. Wednesday afternoon Stephanie, Ashley and the kids arrived. Madelyn had a blast with Olivia, Will and Georgia - I think she is going to be a great big sister!
I ran the 8 mile Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and actually had a great time of 1 hour and 12 minutes and felt great the whole time. Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful thanks to my fabulous husband who worked his magic in the kitchen. We had a slight mishap with one of our friends kids after dinner but other than that it was great. Friday we headed to Allen outlets and got some Xmas shopping done and then it hit later that night...
Steph and I ended up getting violently ill and were in bed the rest of the weekend. They left Sunday afternoon and drove home to KC (somehow). My mom was suppose to leave Sunday but came down with the same thing and didnt get out until today. It was probably the worst illness I have ever had and even worse being pregnant. I think it may take a full week for me to recover and even think about running again.
We are going to put up our tree this coming weekend - we have and extremely busy weekend planned. Madelyn will have her favorite teacher babysit on Friday while Jason and I have a much needed date night in Dallas. And Sunday in between jewlery shows and putting up the tree we are going to take Madelyn through the neighborhood to look at lights.
I will post some Thanksgiving pictures shortly...I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Baby number 2 on the way
We are officially 9 weeks into the pregnancy of the new baby. Jason and I went to Dr. Monti last week and everything looks great so far! It looks like my due date is June 25th, 2009 but since I have to have a c section, she will schedule it for a week earlier so it looks like June 19th will be the big day! 8 days after Madelyn's 2nd bday so we are going to have to throw one big extravaganza of a 2nd bday party!
I am feeling extremely sick with this one - in the afternoons which is different than with Maddy but I am hoping it will pass in a few weeks. I am still able to get in 3-4 runs/week which I guess is good but ive cut my runs down to 4 miles.
Madelyn is changing and getting bigger every day - she is seriously into Elmo and still loves reading her books and is getting into clothes, jewelry and make up already! She is talking more and more every day.
We are really looking forward to the holidays and can;t wait for Santa this year!
